NAET founder Dr. Devi Nambudripad and Dr. Bruce Shelton create a new NAET Homeopathic Line to optimize NAET patient treatments

It is the goal of every NAET practitioner to achieve 100% success with 100% of their patients.

This quest to continually improve patient care with the NAET protocol has led to the creation of a brand-new customized NAET homeopathic line that will provide NAET practitioners with the perfect synergistic application of Homeopathy to the already powerful NAET treatment process. This protocol and product line was recently launched at the August 2008 NAET annual event. A video presentation of the new protocol can be seen at www.desbio.com.

The process of designing the homeopathically enhanced NAET protocol began by bringing together Dr. Bruce Shelton, MD, MD (h), FHIB a national and international leader in the education, design, and the application of Homeopathy and allergy treatment, and Dr. Devi Nambudripad, M.D. (WI), D.C., L.Ac., Ph.D.(Acu.) the founder of NAET, to identify opportunities to utilize the power of Homeopathy within the NAET framework.

The Result: A succinctly integrated NAET Homeopathic protocol and the creation of 31 new groundbreaking NAET Homeopathic products designed to enhance the efficacy of every step of the NAET process.

This article is designed to provide the information you need to understand the purpose, design and application of the new NAET Homeopathic protocol and products. In order to do that we will cover the following four areas in this article:

It is our belief that this protocol will increase the efficacy of the NAET protocols, reduce or eliminate opportunities for error, and provide substantial long-term benefits to patients and practitioners.

Optimizing NAET

The successful application of NAET requires practitioners to master multiple phases of the treatment process including balancing the meridian system, identifying allergens, resetting the brain map (through the spine) by performing a physical tapping, and supporting the bodies overall physiology and functionality.

Each of these distinct phases of the NAET protocol process creates opportunities for "homeopathic optimization" to ensure that the NAET protocol has the highest probability of achieving the patient’s desired outcome. In a more detailed look at NAET, it is clear that multiple variables beyond the basic NAET treatment process must be aligned in order for treatments to have long-term efficacy. The new NAET homeopathic protocol is designed to focus on and prepare each of the key functions of the body that are needed in order for the NAET process to be successful by doing the following:

• Ensuring the brain is ready to receive and process new information
• Preparing the spine and nerves to process signals properly
• Continuing to enhance and sustain the clearing process after the physical process is complete
• Preparing the organ systems to receive signals and unblock stuck meridian systems
• Detoxing the body and opening and balancing drainage pathways required for the bodies immune system to let go of and release its sensitivity to the specific Allergies

The Brain is the epicenter of the body and is the key to the NAET protocols. The NAET treatment protocol is designed to "re-program" the brain with respect to its identification and reaction to specific substances. If the brain is not in a balanced state during and after the NAET treatment, 100% efficacy with respect to the receipt of the new information or the longevity and significance of the new imprint, will be compromised. It is a known fact that the brain will tend to revert to long-term trends in both its conscious and sub-conscious functions (note habits here). This reversion process can show up in patients initially showing 100% clear and then at some later point either reverting completely or partially back with respect to their allergic responses in some cases having to completely repeat the treatments. Ensuring that the brain maintains its balanced state throughout the NAET treatment process (and beyond) will assist the brain in maintaining the new imprints and reduce the effects of potential "reversion" activators such as physical or emotional stress, environmental factors, etc. This key tenet must be addressed in order to increase the long-term success of the NAET treatment process and is achieved through the use of the new NAET Homeopathic, Brain Balance formula.

The next key to successful application of the NAET treatment protocol is the absolute need to prepare the spinal column and the associated nerves to receive and transmit the new information to the brain. It is obvious that the spinal adjustment, facilitated by the tapping, is an extremely important part of the treatment. It is equally as clear that in the hands of different practitioners, many of whom do not have formal training in spinal manipulation; spinal adjustment through tapping may be the single most inexact part of NAET therapy. The new NAET homeopathic line is designed to prepare the spine for the NAET treatment process through its spine and nerve balance formula.

The current NAET treatment protocol typically provides the brain with a 30-60 second look at the offending allergen during the tapping process. Although this process is successful for many patients, the ability to not only boost the treatment strength but to continue providing the new information to the body after the tapping process is complete can significantly increase the short and long-term efficacy of each of the NAET treatments. Boosting the efficacy of each of the first 15 basic NAET treatments and providing the body with continual reinforcement of those treatments is provided by the 15 new NAET system formulas; each perfectly matched to the first 15 basic treatments.

The meridian system is another extremely important part of the NAET treatment protocol. The meridian system is responsible for carrying the new information that has been transmitted to the brain through the spine to the rest of the body as it goes through its 24-hour energy cycle. If any of the meridian systems have a significant block, the full transfer of information may not be completed. The new NAET homeopathic line contains 7 paired meridian formulas specifically designed to optimize the meridian flow and the transfer of information.

The final optimization opportunity comes in the form of an advanced detox and drainage protocol from the new NAET products found in the core formula group. This process serves two functions within the NAET process. The first is to open the organs of elimination which include the liver, kidneys, GI tract, urinary tract, and lymphatic in order to ensure that when the NAET process and system formulas encourage the elimination of toxins from the body, the system will not "back-up" and clearing reactions will not occur. The second focus is on overall patient health and wellness which is supported by the detox, drainage, and support products created specifically for the NAET practitioners.

NAET & Complex Homeopathy – A perfect match

Complex homeopathy has been used successfully to treat allergies for many decades. Combining the power of homeopathics for allergy elimination with the physical NAET process brings together the two best options for treating allergies in one impressive synergistic whole.

Conceptually, the basic function of complex homeopathics, with respect to allergy treatment, is to induce the down-regulation of the immune system in relation to the offending substance. Essentially, re-teaching the body to not react to the substance by presenting the "information" of the substance to the body without the "physical" substance creating an allergic response. This is similar to the NAET process except that homeopathics are internal while the NAET treatment is external. Giving the patient offending substances in multiple quantities at different dilutions completes the process of re-teaching.

It is important to note that the major difference between standard immunotherapy, the method utilized by traditional medicine to eliminate allergies, and complex homeopathic therapy is the dilution. Immunotherapy is typically done over a period of years where the actual offending substance is given to the patient in small doses that increase over time. Thus, immunotherapy is done at a much higher concentration than homeopathics and appears to be working purely at a chemical level in "re-training" the body to not view the substance as offensive over long periods of exposure. NAET and Homeopathy both rely specifically on the energetic system of the body to receive and process new information in order to eliminate allergies and thus are able to achieve results at a more pronounced pace.

While understanding that the Higher Brain centers actually set the control mechanisms of the Immune system, that Complex Homeopathics are able to present information and invoke change in the higher brain centers, it is easy to see why combining NAET with complex homeopathy can significantly improve overall patient outcomes.

The creation of the 31 new NAET Homeopathic Products

The true strength of complex homeopathic formulations comes from the synergistic nature of multiple pharmaceutical stage types (see list below), at multiple dilutions, in one product. Those leading edge complex homeopathic manufacturers have achieved phenomenal patient success by previously bringing together four of the six pharmaceutical stages into their products. However, the next level of complex homeopathics has arrived with the creation of the NAET line.

The NAET homeopathic products are designed to be the most advanced homeopathic products ever created by fully utilizing, for the first time ever, all 6 pharmaceutical stage types in almost every product.

The stage types are as follows:

Minerals Stage Compounds are homeopathic products made from regular inorganic minerals such as Sulphur, Phosphorus and Aluminum. There are over 80 Minerals used in regular Homeopathy.

Plant Stage Compounds are homeopathic products made from the more than 4000 plants or herbs known to therapists for thousands of years.

Organic Stage Compounds are the organic chemicals that control all body functions like Vitamins, Hormones, Neurotransmitters and Mineral Salts that mediate the chemistry of the body. Microorganism Stage Compounds used in these products are the well-known Bach-Patterson bowel nosodes created by the same famous Dr. Bach who created the Bach Flower remedies that are well known to the Integrative medical field. These bowel nosodes magnify and optimize the effect of the other Homeopathic ingredients.

Phenolic Stage Compounds are those approximately 40-phenol ring-containing molecules that form the basis of all Food molecules. Since the majority of all Allergies are Food Related and there are literally 100s if not thousands of food products that cause allergies, by using theses 40 molecules homeopathically, a practitioner is able to treat almost every food allergy by simply identifying the base phenolics in the food.

Homeopathic Nosodes and Sarcodes are homeopathically diluted diseased or healthy tissue. Nosodes and Sarcodes are used to actually drive the main homeopathic products to the area where it has a focused need.

The above ingredient forms represent the most powerful group of homeopathic ingredient types ever put together in a single product line offering. The synergy created by optimizing the six stage types of compounds allows for the homeopathics to not only optimize and enhance the NAET treatment process but to drive overall patient health and allergy elimination as well.

Each of the thirty new NAET Homeopathic products is designed to work at specific points in NAET treatment process. While the number and type of ingredients contained in each individual formula varies, the product functions fit into three basic categories as follows:

Core Formulas

The 9 Core Formulas are designed to open, balance, and support drainage pathways and body systems required for the bodies immune system to let go of and release its sensitivity to the specific Allergies and support overall patient health.

The use of the Core Formulas begins through the use of the two most important formulas, the Brain/Body Balance formula and the Spine and Nerve Balance formula. The Brain/Body Balance formula is designed to open, balance, and prepare the brain neurotransmitters, which control all functions in the body, to receive and process the information from the NAET treatments. The Spine and Nerve Balance formula is the second most important Core Formula as it is designed to ensure that the spine and the surrounding nerves are ready to receive and transmit information to the brain. If these areas of the body are not balanced and prepared for the NAET treatments, the brain may not properly receive information from the NAET treatments. Because the release mechanism and information transfer is also dependant on the physical spine tapping process, which no two practitioners do the same; the spine and nerve balance formula provides added support by applying the regulating effects of Homeopathy to open the spine and nerve channels in order to optimize the information transfer process.

The other 7 Core Formulas are used at different phases of the NAET treatment process and address the all-important issues of Detox, Mucous membranes, Miasms, Mineral and Energy transfer, plus Male and Female Hormone Regulation.

System Formulas

The 15 System Formulas are designed to enhance and sustain the clearing process after the physical tapping process is complete. As noted above, the current NAET treatment protocol typically provides the brain with a 30-60 second look at the offending allergen during the tapping process. Although this process is successful for many patients, the ability to not only boost the treatment strength but to continue providing the new information to the body after the tapping process is complete can significantly increase the short and long-term efficacy of each of the NAET treatments. These individual formulas are perfectly matched to each of the 15 basic treatments that every NAET patient must follow in progressive buildup order as designed by Dr Nambudripad. These formulas contain diluted homeopathics of each of the actual NAET vial ingredients utilized in the NAET clearing process.

Meridian Formulas

The 7 paired meridian formulas are designed to prepare the organ systems to receive signals and unblock and tonify stuck meridian systems. The Basic NAET protocol has the practitioner locate the patients most blocked Meridian which is part of a system of 12 Interconnected Paired Meridians through which the patient’s life force energy or "chi" circulates every two hours in a 24 hour period.

The NAET treatments rely on this energetic system to deliver the new information to the body as it goes through its 24 hour cycle. If specific meridian systems are blocked or significantly out of balance, the transfer of information may not be completed. Ensuring that the meridian system is balanced and prepared to transmit the new information is the function of the NAET Meridian formulas.

The new NAET Homeopathic Protocol

Applying the new NAET homeopathic protocol is very simple. Although a written explanation is provided here, please see the one-page graphic that shows when and how each product should be applied. Each NAET bottle is a 30 day supply.

Pre-treatment and throughout the entire NAET treatment process:

1. Core Formula: Brain & Body Balance
2. Core Formula: Spine & Nerve Balance

These two core formulas represent pivotal advances in preparing the body to receive, transmit, and hold NAET clearings. They are designed to be used before the first treatment and daily throughout the entire NAET process. These formulas can be added to a patient’s protocol at any point during the treatment process for patients that have already completed some portion of the NAET process.

Post-treatment:

1. System Formulas: The specific NAET system formula that is being cleared that day should be given to the patient 25 hours after the treatment. This formula should be taken for 30 days after the original treatment to strengthen and reinforce the NAET clearing. Formulas are only available for the first 15 NAET clearings.
2. Core Formulas: Besides the two mentioned (Brain/Body and Spine/Nerve) above the other 7 core formulas are designed to be given to patients at specific points during the treatment protocol. The first formula to give to patients is the Mucous Membrane formula to open drainage pathways proceeding to two weeks each of basic detox, mid-range detox, and finally advanced detox. This "drainage & detox" protocol can be added at any step during the NAET treatment process and is designed to be repeated twice over a 7 week period. The optimal steps are noted in the one-page graphic. Finally the Miasm formula, mineral balance formula, amd male/female support are all designed to support overall patient health and well-being during the NAET treatment process.
3. Meridian Formulas: These 7 paired meridian formulas should be given to patients, as needed, that show significant weakness in a specific meridian during testing or are experiencing difficulty in holding clearings. In addition, these products may be indicated when a patient is showing sporadic reaction zones that would indicate the incomplete transfer of the new information through the meridian system. These formulas can be given immediately following the treatment and should be taken for 30 days.

We believe that the creation of the NAET Homeopathic protocol represents a substantial step in the continual process of enhancing and optimizing NAET to be the very best option available for the treatment of allergies. This protocol represents the very best in complex homeopathy and the addition of its powerful effects to NAET will increase the effectiveness of every NAET practitioner.
